Extension of National Service Application Deadline

SUBJECT: Extension of National Service Application Deadline 

 

A meeting was held between Heath Goldfields Limited and the Bogoso Youth Association at the premise of the company to deliberate on concerns regarding the short notice given for the deadline for National Service personnel within the Bogoso community.

 

The Bogoso Youth Association expressed concern over the limited timeframe, stating that many qualified youth were unable to adequately prepare and respond to the notice due to its sudden nature. The Association therefore formally appealed for an extension of the National Service reporting date to allow fair opportunity for all eligible applicants within the community.

 

In response, the Community affairs manager of Heath Goldfields Ltd. Mr. Samuel Kow Wilson acknowledged the concerns raised by the Association and appreciated the constructive manner in which the issue was presented. Management assured the Association that the request for an extension had been duly noted and would be given serious consideration.

 

Heath Goldfields further assured the Association that management was committed to community inclusion and transparency, and emphasized that efforts would be made to ensure a positive outcome regarding the extension of the National Service reporting date. The company pledged to communicate an official decision to the Association within the shortest possible time.

 

Both parties agreed to continuously engaged in dialogue to strengthen collaboration and promote the development and welfare of the Bogoso community.

 

The meeting ended on a cordial note, with mutual assurances of cooperation and understanding.
